Overview of Job Duties:
The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant professor in Russian Studies, to begin August 2017. Primary specialization in 19th-c. Russian literature and culture; preferred secondary specialization in Soviet/ Russian Cinema. Native or near native competence in Russian is expected. The successful candidate will contribute to the interdisciplinary major and MA Program in Russian Studies.
Applicants must have a PhD in Russian or a related field, native or near-native command of Russian and English, and a demonstrated commitment to research. At least one year of college-level teaching experience, which may be attained during graduate study. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be completed by August 2017. Primary specialization in 19th c. Russian literature and culture.
At least one publication in Soviet/ Russian Cinema.
