Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Theatre, Scenic and Lighting Designer
Susquehanna University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Theatre in Scenic and Lighting Design. The successful candidate will teach courses in scenic/lighting production, scenic design, lighting design, computer applications for Theatre, and other departmental or appropriate general courses. Co-curricular responsibilities include creation of scenic and lighting designs for the department's five-show main stage season or supervision of student scenic and lighting designers, execution and implementation of scenic painting and lighting plots, and basic maintenance of lighting and sound systems. The successful candidate will be competent in computer-aided drafting and design software, scenic painting, and stage electrician skills. The MFA in Theatre with a concentration in scenic and/or lighting design is required; three years of undergraduate teaching is preferred.
The Theatre Department offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts program with emphases in Performance, Production & Design, and Theatre Studies.
