Duties: The Associate Director, Off-Campus Housing Services creates, designs, produces and delivers educational and informational materials and programs to Penn students who are searching for housing off-campus. Programs include but are not limited to live seminars and presentations, webinars, YouTube video, and live chat sessions. The Associate Director, Off-Campus Housing Services will also build and maintain relationships with the different academic schools and student service departments, as well as local property managers in order to develop services that are responsive to the needs of the community. In addition, the Associate Director, Off-Campus Housing Services will oversee the university's relationship with our vendor that provides off-campus housing listings, Off-Campus Partners. The Associate Director, Off-Campus Housing Services will also create and manage a marketing plan and schedule in order to promote services to students and off-campus housing providers. The Associate Director, Off-Campus Housing Services will also collect, analyze and report data regarding the off-campus housing market and create executive level reports on the topic as necessary. Finally, the Associate Director, Off-Campus Housing Services will hire, train and supervise part-time interns and student staff that will support the services provided by the Office of Off-Campus Housing.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 3hree to five years of related work experience, preferably in a university housing setting or as a rental agent, or equivalent combination of education & experience, are required. Masters preferred in higher education or related field. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Experience writing, editing and producing informational pieces for print or web. Experience and comfort developing and presenting educational programs for a targeted audience. Demonstrated proficiency utilizing current technology such as web and desktop publishing software, reporting tools, social media for business purposes, and standard office packages (word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail). Knowledge of the Philadelphia area, the local rental market, or as a rental agent strongly preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage several responsibilities at the same time, resolve problems using initiative and sound judgment. Ability to collect, interpret, and report data and to write informational materials and reports. Must have a customer service orientation and enjoy working with a diverse population of college students (graduate and undergraduate) and parents on a daily basis to resolve problems or provide information.
