Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Global Luxury Management is a dual degree partnership between the Poole College of Management and SKEMA Business School. The program has 50 students, half recruited by NC State University and half recruited by SKEMA Business School. Students enroll at NC State in the fall and then travel to Paris in the spring where they are enrolled at SKEMA. In the summer they complete the SKEMA dissertation and then receive a Master of Global Innovation Management degree from NC State as well as an MS degree from SKEMA.

Essential Job Duties: This position will be half-time on a 12-month appointment. In addition to the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, this position will report to the Director of the Global Luxury Management program. The principal responsibilities of the position are as follows: 1)Teach BUS 590-002 Global Luxury Management seminar in fall 2016 2)Supervise student dissertations in spring and summer 2017 3)Plan and participate in the New York City and North Carolina Luxury Management study tours in fall 2016 4)Plan, attend, and conduct some sessions at fall orientation for Global Luxury Management students 5)Communicate with matriculating students over the summer to prepare for orientation and the program 6)Participate in student recruitment and admissions in fall 2016 and spring 2017 7)Engage regularly with SKEMA faculty to coordinate academic programming and special events 8)Participate in Global Luxury Management advisory board meetings twice a year

Minimum Education/Experience: Masters degree or PhD in management or a related discipline

Department Required Skills: * Previous experience advising or teaching graduate students in a business school, preferably both * Experience working with advisory boards * Global mindedness and cultural competency evidenced by international experiences * Strong knowledge of luxury industry * Masters in management or a management-related discipline

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: PhD and at least five years' post-baccalaureate professional work experience.
