Duties: Collaborate with the graduate and undergraduate coordinators to coordinate the undergraduate and graduate programs. Provide data entry for these programs. Coordinate PhD and Masters prospective student visits. Manage graders and mentors paperwork, tracking and degree audits. Coordinate incoming student preparations. Outreach: set up an alumni database and help undergraduates by networking with industry employers in coordination with Penn Career Services to promote the hiring of our students and subsequent relations with alumni. Manage Concur reimbursements for faculty members and provide administrative faculty support. Oversee department honors committee and compile faculty awards applications. Coordinate and compile appointments and reappointments of lecturers, visitors, and adjunct faculty with oversight by the Associate Director. Manage departmental events. Coordinate summer projects and special projects: prepare ABET materials, gather data for various department and committee meetings, department retreats, and department external reviews.
Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Proficient PC skills; previous experience or knowledge of academic services; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse population; ability to anticipate client needs and respond efficiently. Excellent organizational, communication, written and oral skills.
