SENIOR IT/ AV SUPPORT MANAGER
Duties: Serve as Senior IT/AV Support Manager for Instructional Services. Report to IT Director for Instructional and Media Services. Lead projects and work as a member of a team; participate in all aspects of Instructional, Classroom, Video, A/V Event, Media and Room/Infrastructure Support. Provide technical expertise; maintain equipment, keep schedules; develop documentation. Manage Student Workers. Participate in campus computing support groups. Primary responsibilities include:
* Manage approved room technology efforts and support for classroom, event and media infrastructure. Develop and implement approved technology initiatives. Provide leadership in selection, testing and evaluation of new technologies and solutions. Maintain and troubleshoot room technology; coordinate technology installations and repairs. Program and modify A/V user interface. Provide expert level support for hardware and software and A/V control systems. Integrate A/V solutions.
* Manage A/V event technology planning and support. Meet with event owners and determine A/V needs and technical support. Assign and coordinate staffing, set schedules, initiate billing; provide support, services and resources including videography, video production, recording, streaming and conferencing. Provide instructional support and resources. Train faculty and staff on A/V use in classrooms and event spaces.
* Manage collaboration initiative for mobile technology solutions and devices, including loaner program for documentaries students.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is require. Clear communication skills required. Experience with the following technologies is necessary:
o AMX control systems
o Extron control systems
o AKG/Shure microphones
o Sony / NEC projectors
o Panopto room capture solution
o Wowza streaming service
o Audio and video decoders/encoders
o Canvas LMS and API/LTI integrations
