Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean of Communications in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the Web Services Manager, will be responsible for the management of the website (Drupal and WordPress), its security and workflow to support the marketing and communications efforts to prospective students, families, and educational partners. The Web Services Manager will lead and manage projects that require an understanding of best practices of web development and design, assisting with the migration to an open source platform. As a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, lead the integration of all digital channels into the new website, implement an SEO strategy, advise on user experience, and user interface design, utilize Google Analytics and produce standardized reports, implement front-end development work by designing and coding themes and plugins, and managing content.

The Web Services Manager will collaborate across work teams around content strategy, communications, technical requirements, and CRM data; maintain websites and ensures the reliable operation with prompt reaction and resolution to production problems.

This position will create innovative approaches to improving the end-user experience by working to improve the usability, usefulness, and aesthetics of the web.

Qualifications: Web Designer A: Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required in web development, web management or web technologies.

Web Designer C: Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of 2 years of experience in web development, web management or web technologies or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional experience in Content Management System solutions and project management skills around their deployment. Demonstrated skills in CMS management, security, and workflows in Drupal or WordPress, experience with project management, HTML development tools and other applicable authoring tools, web production, front-end development. Familiarity with PHP, CSS, and JavaScript. Must be able to integrate design into program rules and system architecture and must be familiar with platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues. Strong working knowledge of web generators and photographic libraries. Knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and Search Engine Optimization.
Experience working with multiple constituencies in a team setting to understand and articulate business processes, data, and priorities required. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
