Duties: This is a full-time position with the UPenn Prevention Research Center (UPenn PRC). This position involves coordinating two projects - the UPenn PRC Community Engagement, Partnerships, and Technical Assistance Core and a skin cancer communications research study. The role of the Community Engagement Core is to connect with community based organizations, build academic-community research partnerships, and facilitate scholarly output of the Prevention Research Center and its affiliated faculty and community partners. This position will organize the community advisory board meetings, build a network of community partner organizations, identify funding opportunities, and support technical assistance with academic and community partners. Responsibilities specific to the skin cancer communications research study include overseeing research support staff, managing participant recruitment and field data collection, monitoring project timelines and study progress, overseeing in-house data management, and assisting the principal investigators as needed.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: BA/BS in a social science discipline and 3 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Experience working with Microsoft Office products is a must. Candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with community partners. Candidate should be organized, professional, and have the ability to multi-task. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential to success in this position.
Health/medical research experience and CITI certification are desirable.
