Job Summary: The Department of Environmental Health Science in the College of Public Health, at The University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, USA, invites applications for a tenure-track position at Assistant/Associate Professor level. The appointment is an academic year appointment with an opportunity to supplement salary through external funding.
Minimum Qualifications: For Assistant Professor: Doctorate degree with 3 years of Postdoctoral training in a discipline related to Environmental Health Science or related biomedical area; 1- 2 years academic working experience in research, teaching, and acquiring/administering external funding. For Associate professor: At least 5 years academic working experience of being Assistant Professor or equal rank positions.
Preferred Qualifications: We primarily are interested in individuals with strong academic record in research, teaching, and service in environmental health preferably focus in chronic health effects of environmental chemical toxicants on human populations and mechanistic studies. For associate professor position, strong evidence for acquiring and administering external funding (current principal investigator with existing grants is preferred); strong evidence of ability to produce and communicate research; excellence in teaching and working with students; and a commitment to cultural diversity.
