Responsibilities:

The Senior Director of College Enrollment Management is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of admission and enrollment for the College of Arts, Media and Design. Reporting directly to the Dean of the College, the Senior Director of College Enrollment Management works closely with the Dean of the College, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, Chairs of Departments, and Directors to set benchmarks and goals for increased application acceptance and yield ratios for CAMD undergraduate programs.

The Senior Director of College Enrollment Management provides executive leadership, vision, direction, advocacy, and supervision for a comprehensive array of undergraduate recruitment and enrollment strategies and tactics.

Working closely with EMSA, the Dean, and department Chairs, this position is the College's primary driver in developing CAMD's enrollment marketing and recruitment strategy. In collaboration with the Director of Marketing and the Director of Admissions (EMSA), the Senior Director of College Enrollment Management analyzes recruitment and yield data to shape the College's outreach both internationally and domestically. He or she functions as key member of the CAMD senior leadership team focused on portfolio-based recruitment strategies in support of highly talented, creatively oriented applicants, as well as more academically focused applicants suitable for programs in particular departments and schools of the college

Qualifications:

Masters degree is required, PhD preferred in a higher education or related field. Candidate should have 6 to 8 years of higher education experience; excellent management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to lead and motivate senior teams and build consensus around CAMD vision and mission; develop creatively driven student programs and initiatives; ability to evaluate and assess program effectiveness and evaluate YoY performance results; experience with international recruitment and global programming. Candidate must be current with the literature in recruitment, retention, innovative curricular initiatives, and student development. Candidate must be a visionary and have knowledge of the trends of the demographics as well as be knowledgeable about the use of technology to enhance advising and efficiency in the management of the office. S/he must have the ability to manage multiple, concurrent and conflicting projects and activities, to think strategically and to be able to create and build teams. Demonstrate continued professional growth, development, and commitment to working with a diverse population of faculty, students, and staff. Must have exceptional student service and negotiating skills. Candidate must have experience with the academic advising of students, demonstration of effective program development and recruitment and retention initiatives in enrollment management. The Senior Director position requires vision, creativity, leadership, and a broad range of decision-making ability.
Required: experience with portfolio review as part of admissions process, and show evidence of ability to think creatively about new approaches to portfolio admissions.
