Responsibilities:

The UI Developer will design web sites and applications using a keen eye for design, typography, color and understanding of user interface and user experience best practices with input and suggestions from the larger creative team. The ability to develop and transform wireframes that meet all the requirements and functionality for the audience into beautiful user interface is critical. Following design, the UI will write the front-end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The UI Developer:

  • Creates mock-ups, prototypes and wireframes with visual layout tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Has expert knowledge of user experience best practices and ability to implement solutions based on unique needs of specific users
  • Designs contemporary user interfaces that are consistent with the current brand while also to continue evolving the visual brand
  • Writes front-end code (including HTML, CSS and JavaScript) using current standards for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility
  • Works closely with internal development and design teams to ensure flawless integration with back-end technology and a great user experience
  • Has a solid understanding of typographic hierarchy, web font best practices and the latest visual design web trends

    Qualifications:

    4-6 Years web design experience, specifically wireframing and user interface design (degree in design is preferred)
    2+ Years development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    Familiarity with version control systems(Git, Subversion)
    Be self-motivated, self-critical, open-minded, creative, and interested in working in a collaborative and communicative environment.
    Strong time management skills, high level of attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills
    Have opinions regarding new technologies and design
    Have experience working independently with clients
    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadline pressure
    Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
