Duties: This position will manage and facilitate complex projects related to Drs. Beatrice Hahn and George Shaw's HIV, HCV and malaria research programs, liasing with faculty, laboratory managers and staff, and internal and external officials. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring IRB and IACUC regulatory compliance of lab staff, obtaining necessary national and international import/export permits (CITES and CDC), managing research procurement and expenditures, developing and implementing standard operating procedures for data storage and sharing, coordinating international biomedical shipments and research-in-progress events, and administering material transfer, confidentiality agreements, intellectual property disclosures, and patent applications. The incumbent will provide editorial support for research grant and manuscript applications and be responsible for electronic submission of these materials to internal departments and external organizations. The Research Administrative Coordinator will summarize and analyze data, as well as design graphics for high impact presentations, print, and online publications.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: 1) High school diploma and 5 to 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience strongly preferred.

2) A background in science is preferred

3) Experience working in an academic environment (research and/or clinical) is preferred
