ASSISTANT DIRECTOR MARKETING
Duties: As an important member of the Admissions and Financial Aid team, the Assistant Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading the marketing efforts for the Graduate School of Education alongside the Director of Admissions. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of the long-term strategic marketing and communications strategy, the creation and maintenance of print and digital content, the building of data-driven campaigns, and the interpretation of data to assess impact. The incumbent will engage with students at various levels through the admissions process along with various departments that span organizational and divisional lines. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: (1) Develop and execute integrated marketing and communication strategy, including print, online, and social media; (2) Design, create, develop content, and update materials and publications including, but not limited to: advertisements, posters, booklets, brochures, flyers and webpages. (3) Event planning, coordination and management; (4) Data collection, analysis, and presentation to better inform our marketing efforts; (5) Sophisticated understanding of, and ability to use enrollment management information web-based technology and platforms such as a CRM system; (6) Assess the marketing needs of our various programs and develop plans to increase public awareness. (7 ) Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Master's degree and 4+ years of experience preferred as the incumbent would have personal, in addition to professional, experience with the graduate enrollment process to lend credibility to marketing efforts to prospective adult graduate students.
Knowledge and appreciation of data-driven marketing methodology. Ability to multitask and advance multiple, high-priority projects simultaneously. Strong ability to navigate relationships across a multitude of departments and units spanning organizational and divisional lines. Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and consistent messaging. Excellent writing ability. Some programming will occur in the evening or during the weekend.
