Help establish computational facilities for high performance computing within department. Apply computational and systems engineering approaches to study membrane proteins. Apply bioinformatics approaches towards research and educational departmental goals.
The position aims to enable multiple scientists (pharmaceutical and natural products chemists,pharmacologists, physiologists and structural biologists) to use computational approaches.
PhD in computer science, engineering or related field. Expertise in computer science engineering and machine learning. Demonstrated leadership activities in computational and systems biology. Demonstrated ability to set-up and work with high performance computing.
The position requires working comfortably at the interface of computer science and biology.
This visiting position is expected to begin September 1, 2016 through February 2017. It will be a paid visiting faculty position with pro-rated salary.
