Duties: Reporting to the Director of Logistics and Access Services, and with a staff of 5 direct and 4 indirect reports, this position is responsible for building security, facilities maintenance, operations, housekeeping, mail room operations and interdepartmental library delivery service. This position oversees the security and safety of Library patrons, staff, collections, and exhibits, as well as ensuring the building is clean and functional; is responsible for all aspects of the Libraries physical plant, both at the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center (380,000 sq. ft.) as well as the Libraries off-site high-density storage facility (51,000 sq. ft) located in West Deptford, New Jersey; provides operational oversight of minor renovation projects and facilities-related work requests; works closely with Facilities and Real Estate Services to recommend and coordinate facility renewal and maintenance projects in the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center; oversees and manages the outsourced security guard personnel; serves as the public safety liaison with the University's Division of Public Safety and fire safety groups, ensuring compliance with University safety policies; and, coordinates, recommends and oversees security measures and material moves across the University's 15 departmental libraries; provides senior management with budget reports and recommendations; works closely with the Libraries event planner to ensure the facility is operationally prepared to handle the many library events that take place. In addition, this position is considered essential personnel and is on call 24/7.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, along with the following:
