DIGITAL GRAPHIC DESIGNER, WHARTON EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
Duties: Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing, Advertising and Creative Services, support the creative design for Wharton External Affairs. Responsible for coordinating and managing the execution of digital and print design projects including: logo design, advertisements, newsletters, brochures, programs, postcards, event invitations, environmental signage, websites, emails, social media assets and other related special projects. Design web materials, including creation of sitemaps and wireframes. Collaborate with colleagues across the department to ensure that graphic solutions meet stakeholder's needs while appealing visually, promoting the brand effectively, and meeting usability standards. Design and support email campaigns that are graphically effective while meeting industry and branding standards. Prep pre-press files and manage relationships with printers, coordinating quotes and production schedules to ensure high-quality production of materials.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. 2-3 years of printing experience and project management experience. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), MS Word, and Power Point. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (WordPress experience preferred or an equivalent CMS). Understanding of user interface design and information architecture, and other web-based and mobile technologies. Effective communicator (presentation, organization, verbal, written). Self-starter and motivated learner. Must be willing to work responsibly, assume additional related duties as assigned and and handle multiple projects at a time. Must be able to prep files for print and communicate clearly with printers. Must meet deadlines and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
