Duties: Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, create and implement strategic annual and long-term plans designed to engage alumni, with a particular focus on graduate alumni. Work with the Director of Annual Giving, Executive Director of Development and Vice Dean for Development and Alumni Relations to develop targeted fundraising messages, solicitations and events to increase knowledge and participation among graduate alumni in supporting the Engineering Annual Giving Fund and other Engineering School fundraising priorities. Serve as the liaison with the Engineering Alumni Society. Develop, plan and implement innovative programs including Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, Alumni Receptions and other alumni programs/events throughout the year. Work with Colleagues in Central Alumni Relations Office to identify best practices for alumni engagement. Work with Career Services to increase opportunities for summer internships and communicate information to students. Work with the Director of Communications to compile and disseminate information on alumni activities. Work with the Penn Engineering webmaster to communicate alumni relations activities and events on social media channels. Coordinate arrangements for graduate students events on and off campus. Ensure current and updated information for alumni volunteers is current in main alumni database (contact reports); attendance lists tracked; DAR and Penn calendars updated; websites and listserves current; volunteers correctly coded. Work with other alumni relations teams to develop activities that appeal to geographic, multi-cultural, and interest group affinity.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years experience in Alumni Relations with a minimum of 3 years of experience in alumni affairs or development. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Strong customer service orientation. Highly organized, innovative and self-initiating with the ability to work independently as well as part of a coordinated team effort. Ability to work well with alumni, colleagues, faculty and senior administrators. Knowledge of databases and Excel, web and email communications necessary. Management skills necessary. Overnight travel outside of Philadelphia, evening and weekend work, and valid driver's license required.
