HRSA PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT MANAGER
Duties: The Performance Improvement Manager (PIM) will oversee and manage the application of quality improvement methodologies for a multi-year HRSA Grant -Academic-Practice Partnership for the Underserved in Philadelphia (AP4UP) to develop a self-sustaining, innovative and replicable model for academic-practice partnership that improves the quality of clinical sites and preceptors and promotes diverse students' readiness to practice in primary care with underserved medical complex adults. The PIM reports to the Project Director and works toward achievement of the Academic-Service Partnership Grant goals and objectives; works closely with the project manager and project investigators on logistical implementation of the quality methodologies; develops quality metrics, identifies barriers and offers strategies to achieve results.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field and 5-7 years of job-related experience with recent process improvement methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Strong analytical and project management skills needed. Demonstrated expertise in rapid cycle quality improvement and Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) methodology.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels in a fast paced environment using sound judgment and organizational savvy. Strong oral and written communication skills needed. Must be a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently within the complexities of healthcare and higher education. Results oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to problem solve in complex and sensitive situations, able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong PC related skills in MS Office and related database technology management.
