University of Nevada, Reno is a major teaching, research and land-grant university enrolling over 17,000 students from 49 states and over 70 countries. Fishing, sailing, swimming, hiking, biking, kayaking, camping and horseback riding activities are all exceptional and a half-hour away in the Sierra Nevada Mountains or surrounding desert lakes.
