Southeast Community College is a two‑year institution of higher education governed by an 11‑member board of governors elected from the college’s 15‑county service area. The college operates on the quarter system and has campuses in Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford. SCC has more than 50 Programs of Study, many technical in nature, and most can be completed in 18-24 months. The college also serves nearly 35,000 non‑credit students enrolled in Continuing Education classes on the campuses and in communities throughout southeast Nebraska. An outstanding continuing education program provides technical, occupational, and leisure classes to regional residents and businesses. Continuing education offers classrooms and labs for technical training for individuals and workforce development for employers.

SCC’s Entrepreneurship Center, located in Lincoln, serves as a resource center for anyone interested in entrepreneurship. The center staff offers assistance to anyone interested in starting a business or looking for direction on their path to business independence. One floor of the center is dedicated to business incubation.
