QUALIFICATIONS: Earned masters (M.S. or M.A.) in psychology, experience teaching large and small (including first year experience) courses in Introductory Psychology, as well as familiarity with teaching technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to teach a wide range of courses including Developmental, Personality, and Social Psychology as well as teaching online courses.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate courses in Introductory Psychology as well as other areas listed above.

THE DEPARTMENT:The Department of Psychology has 28 faculty, approximately 400 majors and 60 graduate students in Masters (General Experimental and Clinical/Community Mental Health) and Specialist (School Psychology) programs. The department also houses Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Neuroscience, and Gerontology minors, and has a 6-course CADC training sequence. WIU-Macomb, IL (Student Population: 10,423): A traditional, residential four-year campus with select graduate programs, WIU-Macomb is located in the heart of west central Illinois in Macomb (population 20,000). Macomb is an Amtrak city with twice-daily service to Chicago. Macomb is located approximately 75 miles from the Quad Cities International Airport (Moline, IL) and 70 miles from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (Peoria, IL).
WIU-Quad Cities (Student Population: 1,235): The only public university in the Quad Cities area, WIU-QC offers select undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctorate in education, at its metropolitan, non-residential campuses in Moline, IL (population 44,000). The Quad Cities (population 376,000) rests on the banks of the Mississippi River and is comprised of Moline and Rock Island in western Illinois and Davenport and Bettendorf in eastern Iowa. The Quad Cities is home to the Quad Cities International Airport.
