RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate classes in athletic training and other duties as assigned. Provide supervision in undergraduate clinical and field experiences. Provide service to the Department, College, University, and Athletic Training Profession.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Earned Master's Degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field. The candidate must hold current National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (BOC), be in good standing with the BOC, and possess or be eligible for a current Illinois athletic training license. The candidate must also have a minimum of 2 years of employment as an Athletic Trainer (excluding graduate assistantship experience).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience in secondary or higher education. Strong background and skills in rehab techniques. Ability to teach courses in the undergraduate athletic training curriculum. Experience in CAATE accreditation. Ability to integrate innovative instructional technology into the teaching and learning process. Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in diverse academic programs. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills which promote collegiality and collaboration.
THE DEPARTMENT: The Kinesiology Department's 21 full time faculty members serve a growing department of over 480 undergraduate students majoring in three B.S. degree programs in Physical Education, Athletic Training, and Exercise Science, and approximately 90 graduate students majoring in the M.S. degree programs in Kinesiology and Sport Management. The Department has state of the art facilities that support teaching and research related to athletic training, biomechanics, human performance, and pedagogy. WIU-Macomb, IL (Student Population: 10,003): A traditional, residential four-year campus with select graduate programs, WIU-Macomb is located in the heart of west central Illinois in Macomb (population 20,000). Macomb is an Amtrak city with twice-daily service to Chicago. Macomb is located approximately 75 miles from the Quad Cities International Airport (Moline, IL) and 70 miles from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (Peoria, IL).
WIU-Quad Cities (Student Population: 1,204): The only public university in the Quad Cities area, WIU-QC offers select undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctorate in education, at its metropolitan, non-residential campuses in Moline, IL (population 44,000). The Quad Cities (population 376,000) rests on the banks of the Mississippi River and is comprised of Moline and Rock Island in western Illinois and Davenport and Bettendorf in eastern Iowa. Moline, Illinois is home to the Quad Cities International Airport.
