Working Title: Coordinator of Faculty Development and Assessment
Posting Information: This position collaborates with other organizational units on campus to identify, plan, design, and facilitate opportunities for the application of innovative and effective faculty development and assessment programs and initiatives that support the vision of WCU's 2020 strategic plan. The coordinator will lead the instructional development team in support of these strategic initiatives and serve as a liaison between the Coulter Faculty Commons and the Office of Undergraduate Studies and the Division of International Programs and Educational Outreach.
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Master's degree in a related field is required. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate/terminal degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution
Two- to five- years of effective teaching experience in higher education
Experience with emerging forms of scholarship, such as the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL)
Facility with effective course design across a variety of instructional modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, online, etc.) preferred
Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with faculty to explore and realize their pedagogical and scholarly goals
Experience working with multiple forms of educational assessment and/or evaluation
Proven ability to lead effectively in a highly collaborative work environment
