West Virginia University is seeking applications and nominations for a dynamic leader to serve as Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management in Academic Affairs, the Director serves as the chief administrator for West Virginia University and its Divisional Campuses financial assistance and scholarship operations. The Director leads a staff of 36 full-time employees and is responsible for administering over $400 million annually in financial aid and scholarship funding. The Director is a member of an Enrollment Management team that strives to meet student needs, provide superior student service, and achieve enrollment goals.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree with five years progressively responsible experience in student financial aid or a Bachelor’s degree with seven or more years of experience. Strong experience using technology to support data management, a history of delivering high quality student services, and extensive knowledge and understanding of federal and state financial aid regulations is required. Familiarity with Banner is preferred.
