The Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials (ISEM), housed in the Australian Institute for Innovative Materials (AIIM), is located at the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus. ISEM is a flagship Materials/Energy research strength and one of lead host institutions for the Corporative Research Centre of Automotive -2020 (Auto CRC). This position is assigned to work on the project of thermoelectric materials and devices for conversion of waste heat to electricity in steel plants. This project is supported by Bao Steel-Australia Joint Centre.
This position requires a highly motivated and talented individual who will be required to work as a part of a multidisciplinary collaborative team led by Professor Shi Xue Dou, the Director of ISEM. You will be required to undertake research on fabrication of thermoelectric materials and design and construction of thermoelectric module and devices for waste heat recovery. You will be required to work closely with Bao Steel researchers in this area.
