Qualifications: A Master's degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and clinical experience is required. A Doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred. Applicants should possess previous experience in collegiate teaching, familiarity with ACEN accreditation processes, and the ability to work with a diverse population. Additional duties involve providing academic advice and counsel to students, participating in program and Division governance activities, participating in program development and activities to assure continued ACEN Accreditation; scholarly productivity and other related University and Division assignments.
Basic Function and Responsibilities: The University of the Virgin Islands is a Historically Black publicly supported land-grant institution. The Nursing Division is seeking candidates who will teach 24 credits per academic year in Psychiatric-Mental Health nursing and other basic nursing courses in an Associate of Science in Nursing Program in the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing-Psychiatric Mental Health.
