Assistant Professor of French
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga seeks an Assistant Professor of French specializing in French literature and culture prior to 1800. This is a tenure-track appointment commencing August 1st, 2014. Candidates should hold the doctorate in French or a related field at the date of appointment.
Candidates should be skilled and energetic teachers who enjoy working closely with students. Teaching responsibilities for this position consist of 12 hours/semester at all levels of undergraduate French language, literature, and culture, including seminars in the candidate’s area of specialization. There is the expectation of ongoing scholarly activity and publication.
