Job Duties: Adheres to university and department policies, procedures, and regulations. Critical duties/responsiblities are to instruct trainees in varied disciplines of course curricula and perform other tasks as assigned by appropriate supervisor. Requires some overnight travel to offsite training locations.
Minimum Qualifications: Certified Mississippi police officer within last 2 years.
Possess or be willing to acquire MS Board on Law Enforcement Officers Stds & Trng instructor certification.
Preferred Qualifications: 2 year degree.
Two secondary certifications in special skills such as law enforcement driving, defensive tactics, impact weapons, OC spray, firearms, physical training, or CPR/First Aid. Be willing to attend other certfication courses.
