Job Duties: Adheres to University and department policies, procedures, and regulations. Adheres to laws, bylaws, rules, policies, regulations, and constitutional provisions of the federal government, state of Mississippi, IHL Board, The University of Southern Mississippi, NCAA, Conference USA, or any other governing authority.
Performs coaching and recruiting duties.
Fields a competitive team.
Demonstrates effectiveness of public relations, media relations, and people skills.
Demonstrates effectiveness in monitoring student-athlete academic progress, retention, and graduation.
Sets and accomplishes program goals.
Effectively maintains budget, organizationsl skills and student-athlete involvement.
Maintains effective working relationship with department support staff and other university personnel.
Demonstrates effectiveness in maintaining discipline and control of student-athletes and program.
Effectiveness in management of scholarships.
Promotes diversity of the program.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university, and two years related experience and/or training.
Demonstrated successful coaching experience at the collegiate level. Candidate must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
Valid Driver's License required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree preferred.
