Job Description This position reports directly to the Director of Annual Giving and interacts with the entire university as well as the general public. Responsible for researching, identifying, cultivating and soliciting individual prospects who have the capacity to make leadership annual gifts of $1,000-$25,000; Coordinates the University's faculty and staff giving campaign working with faculty, staff and retirees; Responsible for the recruitment and training of volunteers. At times the level of stress is high. Must be flexible within work responsibilities and work irregular hours. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in related field and two (2) years relevant program experience, or a bachelor's degree and four (4) years relevant program experience. Experience in securing appointments with prospects, soliciting prospects for gifts and coordinating a large scale fundraising program; ability to establish working relationships with faculty, staff, students, retirees, volunteers and alumni; ability to relate fundraising programs to University goals and objectives; ability to travel and work nights and weekends. Must be highly organized, able to work independently and able to coordinate a variety of project simultaneously. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Preferred Qualifications Four or more years of experience in development, higher education or related fundraising experience is preferred.
