Job Description Under general supervision is responsible for the integration, repair and preventative maintenance of all studio equipment as well as other media equipment owned by UTS. Individual will also work as lead technician and supervise junior technicians while working closely with engineers in developing new facilities on campus and assist in the installation of those facilities. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in electronic technology or equivalency and 6 years experience in repair and maintenance of electronic equipment. Above average electrical and mechanical skills needed to troubleshoot complex electronic problems. Working knowledge of electronic test equipment.
Soldering skills are a must. Ability to read and comprehend operations manuals and electronics schematics and drawings. Good organizational skills and work ethic is a must. Daily use of computers for communication and design is a must. AMX, Crestron or Extron automated control system troubleshooting and maintenance experience required. Must have a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications An Associate's degree in engineering, electronics or related field and six years' experience in broadcast electronics repair and maintenance or equivalent education and experience. AutoCAD experience preferred.
Experience with RS232 port command software and diagnostics and equipment control preferred.
A thorough understanding of various video signaling including, SDI, HDSDI, HDMI and HDCP compliancy preferred.
Experience with IP based video and a firm understanding of basic data networking preferred.
Experience and knowledge of data networking is desirable but not required.
