Job Description The University of South Carolina invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the College of Social Work. This position is part of a cluster hire for the SmartHOME® Initiative in the SeniorSMART® Center of Economic Excellence (www.seniorsmart.org/). SmartHOME® has the goal of enhancing quality of life for older adults through the use of technology-enabled services, environments, and products.
Faculty will have an academic home in the College of Social Work and be expected to develop an independent research agenda that will contribute to the goals of the SmartHOME® initiative. Minimum Qualifications The successful applicant will have a doctoral degree in social work, public health or related field, and a commitment to interdisciplinary research. Qualifications for this tenure-track position include a promising or outstanding record of social work scholarship and teaching. The successful applicant will also have the ability to contribute to the SmartHOME® initiative and contribute to the comprehensive research and teaching mission of the College. Preferred Qualifications
