Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication Studies

Appointment Status
Full-time, one-year leave replacement position; beginning Fall Term 2012. Organizational communication emphasis preferred.

Responsibilities
* Teach undergraduate courses in communication theory and quantitative research methods.
* The successful candidate will be expected to teach a course that satisfies the university's first year seminar core requirement in Writing and Rhetoric and possibly teach a lower or upper level department elective in their area of expertise and an existing lower level department introductory course which also satisfies the university's Social Scientific Approaches core requirement.
* Standard teaching assignment is three courses per semester.
* Other duties include continuation of professional development and involvement in activities sponsored by the department.
Qualifications
Ph.D. (ABD considered) in Communications and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education.
Upper level undergraduate teaching experience is highly desirable.
