MANAGING DIRECTOR

Duties The Managing Director of the Baker Retailing Center will work closely with the Director to develop a consolidated strategic direction for the center. This will include working collaboratively with the Director to foster/develop key relationships in the retail industry. These relationships include the Industry Advisory Board, Director's Council and the NRF. This person is also responsible for continuing to build international relationships and expand the Center's global reach. In support of the Center's integration of academia and industry, the Managing Director will develop and facilitate innovative industry roundtables and special projects. Additional responsibilities include student advising, placement, curriculum development ideas and auditing financial accounts. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in retail industry is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's preferred with 7 years to 10 years of experience. Ability to foster and cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external constituents. This position requires creativity, initiative and excellent communication skills. Able to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously while anticipating future opportunities. Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
