The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Cell Biology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.
Applicants should have extensive experience in the field of cell biology, have demonstrated outstanding success in research, and must have a commitment to the graduate and medical education mission of our Department. We expect that successful candidates will apply state-of-the-art methods (e.g., live cell imaging, genetic, biochemical, structural, genomic and/or mathematical modeling approaches) to address major questions in any area of cell biology. Of particular interest are applicants that focus on the study of fundamental cellular processes critical for tissue morphogenesis and function in any model organism. Successful candidates will also develop independent federally funded research programs.
First consideration will be given to applications received by December 1, 2013, but applications will continue to be accepted after this date. Please submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a 2-3 page statement of your research interests and the names and email addresses of three references with your application. Please note that letters of recommendation should also be received by December 1, 2013.
Dr. Mary Mullins, Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology, is Chair of the Search Committee.
