Development Associate-Assistant Director of Donor Relations
Department Overview
The Division of Advancement has a goal to promote the University of North Texas through its many programs of engagement to secure private financial resources that support and empower the future leaders of our generations.


Job Description
The Assistant Director of Donor Relations will be responsible for creating, implementing and continuously improving written communication with our donors, managing the recognition societies for major donors and other stewardship related activities.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Donor Relations will include, but are not limited to:

* Identify, process and track major gift acknowledgments within ten days of receipt in collaboration with the gift processing staff
* Create post-event correspondence in collaboration with the Director of Special Events
* Adhere to budgeted expenditures approved by the Senior Director
* Assist the Sr. Director in the administration of endowment reporting including, writing, tracking and research
* Collaborate with development and university colleagues as needed on projects


Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and two years of professional experience in marketing, fundraising, event planning, public relations, corporate account sales, or communications, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

**Must have a valid Texas Driver's License or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment**

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
* Documented leadership and professionalism
* Experience with teamwork and collaboration
