The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry (http://uncw.edu/chem/) invites applications for an NMR and MS facilities manager with demonstrated technical expertise to begin May 2014. A Ph.D. is required. The department has 600 and 400 MHz NMR’s along with high and low resolution mass spectrometers. The successful candidate is expected to train and supervise NMR and MS users as well as maintain the instrumentation. In addition, the candidate will perform NMR and MS experiments for faculty and students in the context of independent or collaborative research with faculty. Involvement in teaching, particularly in our graduate NMR/MS course is expected.
