Position Summary:

The University of North Carolina invites applications for a full-time, open rank, tenure track position in the School of Dentistry. We are seeking an outstanding educator and scientist who can teach cariology in the DDS and Advanced Education programs and conduct research in areas related to cariology. The successful candidate’s role will be to complement and enhance our existing clinical, educational and research cariology programs. Outstanding opportunities exist for teaching and curriculum development, research in new state of the art facilities, and participation in an active intramural faculty practice. Evaluation of applicants’ qualifications will be based on experience, accomplishments, and current scholarly activity.

Appointment,rank, and School of Dentistry department will be determined by the applicant’s qualifications and specific areas of interest and experience.

Education Requirements:

Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery (DDS), Dental Medicine (DMD), Research (PhD)or related field.

Qualification and Experience:

Educational, teaching, and/or research experience in the field of cariology.
