Position Summary:
This is a Project Coordinator position for a cluster-randomized HIV prevention intervention trial that will be implemented with young men in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The intervention involves the evaluation of a microfinance and health promotion intervention for networks of young men. As the U.S. based coordinator, this position will be responsible for assisting with all functions related to the research and intervention implementation. The position will involve coordinating between the U.S. Principal Investigator and the Field team based in Tanzania. The position will involve frequent travel to Dar es Salaam to assist in the training and development and maintenance of the data management system.
Education Requirements:
Minimum of a Master’s degree in public health or a related field.
Qualification and Experience:
At least 3 years experience managing public health related projects. Strong preference for candidates who have spent at least 2 years living working overseas. Strong writing, speaking, presenting, training and group facilitation skills. Experience conducting independent research including planning, implementing, and or analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. Proficiency using computer software programs including Windows Operating System, MS Office, Adobe, Atlas.ti, and SAS. Ability to travel frequently to Tanzania.
