Position Summary: The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist with a special interest in esophageal and aero-digestive diseases. This may be primarily a clinical and/or a research position with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The candidate would work closely with colleagues in pulmonary, otolaryngology, speech therapy, and nutrition. UNC has a number of outstanding multidisciplinary programs already in place, including the Airways Center and the feeding program, both of which have a national and international reputation. There would also be close collaboration with the adult GI Center for Esophageal Diseases and Swallowing (CEDAS). Research oriented faculty would have access to the NIH funded Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease (CGIBD). Expertise or a desire for further training in interpreting pH probes, impedance studies, and esophageal manometry is required. Appointment will be as an Assistant, Associate or full Professor.
Education Requirements: MD, Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology
