Position Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine anticipates hiring multiple faculty members to expand the department and accommodate clinical needs in Chapel Hill and Raleigh, N.C. We anticipate hiring full-time general psychiatrists and child and adolescent psychiatrists to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings including a correctional facility. Duties also include teaching/supervising fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees from a variety of disciplines. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.

Education Requirements:

Applicants for general psychiatry positions must have an MD, be BC/BE, and applicants for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry positions must have an MD and have completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and be BC/BE. Applicants must be eligible for North Carolina licensure.

Qualification and Experience:

The successful applicants will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a diverse population of patients.
