Position Summary:
The Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a new or established physician-scientist with research interests in childhood cancers for an open rank faculty position in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Research space and start-up will be provided by the Cancer Center. Academic rank will be a level commensurate with the applicant’s experience and accomplishments. Board eligibility or board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is required.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers an exceptionally collaborative environment with strong basic and translational research programs in murine modeling, genomics and drug discovery. The Division currently includes 9 physicians and 6 nurse practitioners. Divisional interests include solid tumors, neuro-oncology, childhood cancer survivorship, stem cell transplantation, immunology, sickle cell anemia and thrombosis and hemostasis. UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center has over 300 members in 9 programs that hold a top ten portfolio of cancer-related research.
Education Requirements:
MD, Board eligibility or board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology required.
Qualification and Experience:
MD, Board eligibility or board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology required. Reseach interest in childhood cancers.
