Position Summary:
HEMATOLOGY FACULTY POSITION, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL. The Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine in conjunction with the NCI designated Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking to recruit a faculty member to join the growing Myeloma Research Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This is an Open Rank faculty position. While there is no particular area of research involving myeloma biology that is required, successful candidates will have a proven track record of performing clinical/translational research in patients with multiple myeloma, amyloidosis and/or lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma. An additional area of interest would be outcomes research in patients with multiple myeloma. Responsibilities will include patient care, clinical/translational research, participation in multi-disciplinary conferences and teaching.
Education Requirements:
Candidates must have an M.D. degree; BC in Medicine and BC/BE in Hematology and/or Oncology.
Qualification and Experience:
Individuals with experience in clinical, translational, and lab-based research are encouraged to apply.
