Position Summary:
One-Year Lecturer in German
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a superior and innovative teacher for a non-renewable fixed-term lectureship in German for a one-year appointment beginning July 1, 2012. The successful candidate will have a 3/3 teaching load and teach all levels of the undergraduate language curriculum (from novice to advanced content-based instruction), as well as supervise graduate student instructors.
Education Requirements:
Applicants must have completed PhD or ABD status to be considered.
Qualifications and Experience:
The area of specialization is open, although a strong background in foreign language pedagogy, web-based instructional technologies, or second language acquisition is highly desirable. Native or near-native proficiency required.
