Position Summary:
The Department of Neurology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill is recruiting a Neurologist at the associate professor or professor level to serve as Director of the Electroencephalography (EEG) Services. We are seeking a child or adult neurologist with subspecialty training and board certification in Clinical Neurophysiology by the ACNS who has administrative experience and a strong background in patient care, teaching and research. He/she will be responsible for overseeing EEG services at UNC Hospitals and play a major role in clinical, research and educational programs related to epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology. Additional skills in intraoperative monitoring, epilepsy surgery evaluations or sleep medicine would be considered advantageous. The successful candidate will join five faculty members in adult and child neurology who currently share responsibility for EEG services and clinical epilepsy programs. Academic rank will be dependent on qualifications and experience. This position includes designated salary support for administrative duties as well as a stipend for teaching.
