Position Summary:

A Biostatistician in the UNC’s Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Biostatistics Core will consult and collaborate with multiple HIV AIDS researchers by providing statistical and data analysis expertise. The Biostatistician will assist CFAR investigators in designing studies, writing grant proposals, managing data, conducting statistical analyses, and writing manuscripts. The Biostatistician may also be involved in statistical methods research motivated by HIV AIDS studies and possibly assist in the supervision and work of graduate research assistants. The Biostatistician will also assist in operational aspects of the Biostatistics Core, such as communicating with CFAR investigators and preparation of annual reports.

Education Requirements:

Masters degree in biostatistics or statistics

Qualification and Experience:

Working knowledge of at least one statistical package (preferably) SAS or R is required.
