Department: Ath Community Relations
Position Summary: Position reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordinating elements of the life skills program and the Richard A. Baddour Carolina Leadership Academy, both programs for student-athletes. Developing and coordinating career development and community outreach events for student-athletes, both individually and for sport programs, and creating and updating social media relating to the student-athlete development program. Ensure that all events and activities are conducted in compliance with all departmental, University and NCAA rules and regulations.
Education Requirements: Master's degree required
Qualification and Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in life skills and student-athlete development. Demonstrated ability to adhere and comply with NCAA, ACC, departmental and University rules and regulations; strong verbal and written communications skills; demonstrated public relations and interpersonal communications skills in order to effectively communicate with staff, administrators, student-athletes, coaches, parents and community members; strong computer skills using MS Office, social media outlets and database management. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
