Position Summary: The Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) invites applications for a tenure-track position in urban design and related fields at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective July 1, 2014. Candidates should have strong research interests in urban design and related fields and a desire to contribute to city and regional planning by advancing planning scholarship. The selected applicant is expected to teach site planning and urban/city design to masters students. These courses are usually taught as lecture courses rather than studio format.
Education Requirements: A PhD is required, preferably in planning or in related fields. Candidates expecting imminent conferral of a PhD may apply.
