International University of Nursing and University of Medicine and Health Sciences located in the beautiful island nation of St. Kitts are currently seeking candidates for the position of Associate Director of Financial Aid.
The Associate Director of Financial Aid serves as the senior member of the Financial Aid staff, partnering with the Director of Financial Aid to establish institutional policies and procedures and undertake the general administration of the university's financial aid services. We seek a highly motivated individual with a professional and resourceful style.
· Advice and counsels students and their families as to the Cost of Attendance providing accurate information regarding the availability of financial aid funds. Promote a relationship with students that encourages them to seek help when needed
· Maintain and monitor the financial aid reporting functions of the Quick Base and CAMS databases.
· Maintain up to date knowledge and proficiency with U.S. federal loan programs.
· Process Direct Loan information for new and continuing students using Department of Education's COD, NSLDS, and SAIG systems.
· Analyze Credit Reports and counsel students regarding requirements of institutional and private loans.
· Schedule and conduct entrance and exit interviews with student for Direct Loan and Private Loan programs.
· Assist in the establishment of criteria for purposes of estimated cost of attendance, financial aid needs analysis, scholarship and loan eligibility requirements and award procedures.
· Develop viable financial plans for paying for the costs associated with attending the school.
· Follow up with new, continuing and prospective students in resolving student financial aid issues.
· Coordinate the selection and awarding of scholarships and loans provided to students.
· Interface with Admissions, Bursar, Registrar and the Business Office.
Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus 3 years of experience in financial aid at an institution of higher education and at least two years of administrative and supervisory experience.
Qualified Candidates must: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent analytical capabilities. Be able to handle multiple projects and work with frequent interruptions, work in a team environment, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Possess the knowledge and experience analyzing Credit Reports and counseling students regarding credit issues. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel essential and database management is essential.
