The Department of Cultural Studies invites applications for our part-time adjunct faculty pool in the following languages: Arabic, Cambodian, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Latin, Spanish.

These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed, with openings anticipated for Spring 2014. When a position is available, qualified applicants are contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation. The ideal candidate will enhance the student's learning experience by integrating a variety of methods and strategies into the teaching process and maintaining a student learning-centered environment.
Instructors will be expected to attend a scheduled orientation as offered upon appointment. Date/time of orientation to be announced for each term.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-M.A. degree or higher in the language being taught (degree required at the time of application)
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
-Native or near-native proficiency in the language being taught and in English
-Three years of teaching experience at the college level in lower-division courses using communicative approach (if applicable) and technology in the classroom
-Experience assessing classes
-Classroom management skills
